Thought Leader Panel: Culture Change and Relationship Management

Moderator: Rick Pastore, Sr Dir & IT Research Advisor, Hackett Research.

Overview:  Conversation with executive attendees to share their experiences in remaking their organizations into future-state IT practices. Talking points range from making the case for IT culture change; establishing, maintaining and benefiting from team diversity; how to lead a multigenerational workforce; instilling new cultural behaviors and norms; making risk-taking acceptable.

Description:  The IT organization of the future will look and act nothing like the back-office, hierarchical teams of the ‘90s and 2000s. And that’s a good thing. Companies are now in the throes of transforming to compete in an era that demands continuous innovation, speed and relentless focus on customer experience. To be relevant, IT must cultivate a culture that is curious, bold and entrepreneurial, valuing experimentation and intelligent risk-taking. Our diverse panel of transformational IT leaders, moderated by Rick Pastore, who recently conducted a major IT culture change study with The Hackett Group, will share their experiences in remaking their organizations into future-state IT practices.

Key challenges addressed:

  • Making the case for IT culture change
  • Modernizing the business relationship manager role
  • How to lead a multigenerational workforce
  • Instilling new cultural behaviors and norms
  • Making risk-taking acceptable
